We have nearly finished building the concrete countertops. After that we will need to do some finishing work to them such as; filling the air gaps with a dark black slurry and then covering the countertops with several coats of a natural epoxy. The epoxy is used to protect the countertops from water stains.
I am very thankful for the help I got from Robin and his son, Brent (my neighbour) and my Ultimate team. Each piece probably weights around 350 pounds.
Things left to do in the kitchen:
- countertops
- cabinet doors
- put down 3/4 inch sub-flooring
- tile and grout kitchen floor
- tile kitchen wall
- install gas for cooktop (hiring a professional)
